- The Auto Photo Fix II software program comes with the printer and helps you to adjust photos as needed.

- The printer links to your computer through a high-speed USB 2.0 connection.
- Borderless printing is used to encourage a full frame of printing. You can print images from 4 x 6 to 8.5 x 11 inches.
- The ink drops on this printer can be as little as 2pl. The Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering system or FINE makes this possible.
All of these features are designed to work with a series of quality ink cartridges from Canon that use super-fine droplets of ink for vibrant colors and a clear coating to prevent water damage. The CL-211 and PG-210 cartridges that work with this printer are archive quality dye inks. The printer will not create any smears on your paper either because the FINE ink dries quickly.
This printer is a lower cost option for photo and document printing, producing high quality prints. It does not, however, have wi-fi capabilities, nor does it have multi-function features like scanning, copying or faxing.

Much of this is thanks to the series of resin-coat layers on the deepest part of the paper and the separate layers for ink absorption and color reproduction.
